Rosary bracelet tutorial

Many people lay their beads out on a beading board. I usually design things in my head.

Here’s the beginning of a rosary bracelet. Memory wire, which I ‘string’ the beads onto. We need 53 Hail Mary beads, 6 Our Father beads, and I’m using some tiny silver flower shaped spacer beads surrounding each one. Start with spacer bead and 10 Mater (Hail Mary) beads.

Time to add the charms.

Above is the fully ‘strung’ bracelet. The pattern is 10 Mater, 1 Pater (Our Father) bead, 10, 1, 10, 1, 10, 1, 10, 1, 3 (Mater), 1. Don’t forget to add spacers surrounding each, if desired.

Cross added.

Add the cross using tools. Round the end of the wire with round nose pliers. Slip cross on and finish with flat nose pliers.

Add Mary medal.

Go back to the beginning of the bracelet, where the first beads were added. Push all beads tight to cross. Cut about an inch from first bead. Add Madonna medal, which is a locket here.
